Managing Director
DTZ Ukraine

I moved to Ukraine in 1999 to join DTZ and since then have been privileged to witness two revolutions and, the slow but indisputably material development and improvement in the real estate sector.

Holding the position of Managing Director of DTZ Ukraine for around 15 years I have come to appreciate that whilst this is potentially one of the most rewarding markets in which to invest, it is without doubt one the most challenging where robust advice and diligence often define between successful and disastrous decisions.

Interaction with the real estate market is almost inevitable for any person or entity moving into Ukraine whether in searching for a home to securing office, manufacturing or trading space. Having a clear understanding of what remains a highly unregulated market, beset with pitfalls is therefore essential.

Whilst a Chartered Surveyor by profession, with around 25 years experience of which 10 years was in the UK with the remainder being in Eastern Europe, I still consider myself as being on a learning curve in Ukraine. A jack of all trades and, arguably a master of none, I have assembled a team of true professionals in Ukraine consisting of both local and expatriate specialists covering all aspects of real estate brokerage and consultancy.
